Child Support Enforcement

The Child Support Enforcement Unit is under the State of Illinois Intergovernmental Agreement between the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and the Cook County Sheriff. The Cook County’s Sheriff’s Child Support Enforcement Contractor’s Duties are to serve, within Cook County, summons, subpoenas, writs, orders, or notices to withhold income for child support, notices of support obligations and decrees that may be legally directed and delivered to the County in connection with the Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement Program. Execute and return within Cook County warrants and body attachments in accordance with the Illinois Compiled Statutes, at no cost to the Department.
